Conversion Story of Leopold Weiss

Muhammad Asad, Leopold Weiss, was born in Livow, Austria (later Poland) in 1900, and at the age of 22 made his visit to the Middle East. After years of devoted study he became one of the leading Muslim scholars of our age.

Allah Sent Islam to My Very Home

During the long years of my search for the truth, I studied with many religious faiths. For over a year I studied two times a week with a Catholic priest, but could not accept Catholic beliefs. Coming down from Cambridge, I went to Central Africa, having obtained an appointment in the administration of the Uganda Protectorate. There I had an interesting and exciting existence beyond what, from England, I had ever dreamt, and was compelled by circumstances,

"Here is my 1st attempt at singing the Adhan," she wrote. "I got some pronunciation wrong because emotions took me from my page... but there’ll be hundreds of others onstage to come". In another tweet, she added: "Sorry re all the mistakes in my Azan.... 1st attempt. When I’ve practiced it 30 times I’m Gonna make the world stop turning".

Conversion Story of Abdul Karim Germanus

During a summer vacation, I was lucky to travel to Bosnia, the nearest Oriental country adjacent to ours. As soon as I settled in a hotel I dashed forth to see living Muslims, whose Turkish language had only beckoned to me through its intricate Arabic script from the pages of grammar books. It was night, and in the dimly-lit streets, I soon discovered a humble cafe in which on low straw stools a couple of Bosnians enjoyed their kayf.
