Allie: A Revert from Melbourne

My name is Allie and I'm from Australia. Although I never felt connected to the stereotype, I'm what you'd call a true blue Aussie. I was born in Melbourne, 4 years on the Gold Coast and then Sydney.

Miracles of the Qur’an (Special Folder)

Truth Seeker website has been publishing many interesting articles and videos representing examples that prove the complete harmony and total consistency between modern scientific discoveries and principles and the Book of Allah, as believed by all Muslims worldwide and has been scientifically proved by scientists, Muslims and non-Muslims alike. This book is the Ever-Glorious Qur’an which was revealed by Allah the Almighty more than 14 centuries ago to an unlettered man, Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him), the last of all prophets and messengers sent by Allah to guide humanity to the straight path of Allah and to gain eternal salvation.

Effect of the Remembrance of Allah on Hearts

According to research by David B. Larson, of the American National Health Research Center, and his team, comparisons of devout and non-religious Americans have given very surprising results. For instance, religious people suffer 60% less heart disease than those with little or no religious belief, the suicide rate among them is 100% lower, they suffer far lower levels of high blood pressure, and this ratio is 7:1 among smokers.

Hummingbirds and Nectar

After all, is a bird capable of the conscious recognition that it will die if it uses its energy in a fruitless search for food in order to sustain its high metabolism? And can it then decide to improve its memory as a necessary solution to its problem? How does this tiny bird know exactly how long it takes for a flower to refill its supply of nectar, and furthermore, how does it know exactly which flower to return to and remember its flight pattern back to that flower? How does it differentiate between the different flowers?

Bats Teach Us about Safety

In the design of RoBat, other characteristics of bats were also considered to utilize the echoes in the best way possible. Bats move their ears to determine the frequency intervals of sound waves, and in this way they easily overcome the obstacles in front of them and find their prey and catch it. RoBat was also equipped with such ultrasonic detectors to have a perfect mechanism like that seen in bats.

The Mother-of-pearl and Damage Decrease

In the development of materials to be used in the production of strong impellers in jet engines, the mother-of-pearl’s structure is imitated. 95% of the mother-of-pearl on the inner layer of many shellfish’s shells is chalk, but mother-of-pearl is 3,000 times stronger than chalk thanks to its composite structure. When this structure is examined, it is seen that microscopic tablets, only eight microns (1 micron=10–6 meters) in width and one half of a micron in depth, are arranged as layers.

The Returning Sky

The word "rajaai" interpreted as "return" in Qur'an translations has meanings of "sending back" or "returning." As is known, the atmosphere surrounding the Earth consists of many layers. Each layer serves an important purpose for the benefit of life on Earth. Research has revealed that these layers have the function of turning the materials or rays they are exposed to back into space or back down to the Earth. Now let us examine, employing a few fitting examples, this "returning" function of the layers encircling the Earth.

Heavy Clouds in the Qur’an

The weight of clouds can reach quite astonishing proportions. For example, a cumulonimbus cloud, commonly known as the thunder cloud, can contain up to 300,000 tons of water. The fact that a mass of 300,000 tons of water can remain aloft is truly amazing. Attention is drawn to the weight of clouds in other verses of the Qur'an
